Far to the south, a biotechnician named Totchli receives a desperate order to head north to discover the fate of an expedition tasked with finding a way to end the terrible ecological destruction his people have endured. When his path converges with Ken’s, the very fabric of their world begins to shred, and all of those whom they hold dear are threatened with extinction.
