Our Current Open Call is Drawing to a Close

When we posted our call for orphaned books, we had no idea what to expect. Would we get any responses at all? We’ve been really surprised by how many really wonderful pitches we’ve received (while simultaneously being horrified at some of the stories authors have shared about their experiences with their last publisher).

Alas, we’re nearing the end of what our reading crew can handle.

We know there are so many books and their authors still out there, looking for a new publishing home who haven’t found their way to our open call yet, but we’re going to have to set a cutoff date. At least for now.

Fantasy, horror, or sci-fi authors who would like us to consider books that were once published by another publisher and now are un-homed, please get your query to us by 11:59pm (EST) on 6/16. No pitches sent after that time and date will be considered.

We’ll likely re-open to a similar set of authors again, but for now, the clock is ticking to get your orphaned book pitches to us. Make sure you read our Submissions – General Info and Submissions Requirements pages before sending us an email.
